Have you ever felt like giving up? Throwing away everything that you have worked hard for because you are not seeing any progress? Are you feeling like it's just impossible to reach your dreams, causing you to feel hopeless and empty? Well, I am here to tell you that your dreams are closer than they appear.
I was riding down the streets of California the other day and I looked in the side view mirror, and for some reason the words “OBJECTS IN MIRROR ARE CLOSER THAN THEY APPEAR” really stuck out. Although I have seen these words an abundance of times, at that very moment they really resonated with me. Immediately, it reminded me that my DREAMS ARE CLOSER THAN THEY APPEAR.
Sometimes it is easy to get discouraged
because we have images of this amazing dream dancing around in our head, but it seems like no matter what we do or how hard we work, our dreams just aren't coming true. You have to understand that you have the ability to turn that dream into a reality. Frida Kahlo once said, "Passion is the bridge that takes you from pain to change." Just know that if you keep persevering and working towards that dream, setting goals, and accomplishing them you will succeed.
You cannot put all of your energy towards focusing on what you don't have, why you can't do something, why it's taking so long, or what others are doing. You have to focus on what you can do, with what you have, to get you to where you want to be.
Once you get that feeling that you can just get on a ladder and reach out as far as you can and brush your dreams with the tip of your fingers, you're on the right path. You understand that your dreams are closer than they appear and you can feel deep down that as long as you keep going, soon enough you will be able to throw out that ladder and simply grab a hold of your divine dreams.
"I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me." Philippians 4:13 KJV
