So I was scrolling down Instagram and came across a picture of Keke Palmer wearing this plaid and jean bralette and I automatically felt the urge to recreate the look. Yall know I am obsessed with reconstructed denim (hence the majority of my other DIY's 😂), so I decided to take on the challenge of recreating this bralette from scratch and I did a pretty good job at it, if I do say so myself 🔥🔥
Of course you know I had to add my own little twist on it. I'm not a big fan of plaid, so I decided to use an oriental silk fabric instead of plaid fabric. I also added lace around the lining of the bralette. I'm not going to lie, this wasn't the move at first, but when I realized I made the triangles of the bralette a little to small, I knew I had to add something to make it fit better, which is how the lace came into place. But I am so glad that I used the lace because it added so much more 🔥 to the bralette!
After posting a picture of this DIY on Instagram, my inbox blew up. I had a lot of people tell me how 🔥 this bralette is and a lot of them asked me to make one for them, which led me to think that I should have an online store. Hmmmm, maybe I'll start working on that ☺️ In the meantime, check out the tutorial to see how I made it.
